November 11, 2021 Post Open House

The Manhattan American Legion Post 935 is hosting an Open House on Veterans Day - Thursday, November 11, from 4:30 PM to 8 PM at the Manhattan Township Hall, located at 230 Wabash St. Manhattan, IL.

 

At the open house, the Post welcomes all Veterans regardless of American Legion membership status, or if they belonged to a fellow American Legion post. This event is an opportunity for local military veterans to learn about the resources available to them and to network with fellow veterans and citizens in the Manhattan area and Will County. While not intended to be a membership drive, the Post will welcome any new members into their ranks. We will provide refreshments and conduct our annual November 11th "50/50" drawing at 7 PM.

The following organizations have been invited to attend the open house:

-Hines Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center Outreach Coordinator

-Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran ID card applications

-Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Administration Burial benefits

-My HealtheVet - Demo

-Will County VAC Veterans Claims assistance

 

The Legion will also be sharing information about various youth and community programs. There will be information about the following Legion programs:

-American Legion youth programs, such as Boys/Girls State,

-American Legion Auxiliary

-Sons of the American Legion

-American Legion Riders

-MyLegion.org
